A New Design of Microstrip Gain Equalizer Used in MPM

A 2 GHz⁶ GHz microstrip wave gain equalizer is fulfilled on the basis of transmission line theory and resonant cavity theory.We choose microstrip resonator branch with thin film resistance integrated as the basic element.This structure could easily overcome the defects in traditional equalizer.Through a lot of simulation experiments by ADS and HFSS different factors that influenced the gain equalizer’s attenuation curve are researched,and a gain equalizer with four branches is designed.The simulated results show that the equalization curve meets requirements well.In addition,equalizer’s miniaturization requirement into consideration is taken.The measurement results show that the gain equalizer is made by high-efficiency and precision way in this frequency range.
