The 25th edition of the CSA C22.1:21, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I is due to publish in January 2021. The French edition, CSA C22.1:F21, will be available in April 2021. For over 90 years, the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I has been developed and updated to help better protect electrical workers and promote improved consistency in electrical installations across the country. The new edition includes over 200 additions and revisions, including:

  • New subsection for energy storage.
  • Requirements regarding climate change adaption addressing risks from floods.
  • Substantial changes to wiring methods.
