Collapsibility of Original loess in Triaxial Compression Test

In order to study the collapsibility of loess,CT scanning the collapse of loess in process of tri-axial shearing forced by two kinds of all round pressures was carried out.With the help of the images and data of the CT scanning,the authors analyzed the changes of microstructure of the loess.It was found that there was a lot of change in absorption coefficient for the soils,so that there existed a physical and chemical reaction in collapse process.It indicated that the solution of the micro-crystal of easy solved salt possessing cementation played an important part indirectly in collapse process.according to the images interpreted collapsibility process.It was also found that big pores in loess did not contribute to its collapsibility.
