Described in this paper is a general method for the analytical calculation ofdynamic problems involved in the meshing of synchronizing clutches,i.e.ascerta-ining the variation rleationship of kinematic and dynamic parameters in themeshing process by establishing and solving differential equations for meshingkinematics.The effect of preliminary meshing parameters,structural parametersand damping mechanisms on meshing engagement is discussed.Criteria for theselection of damping mechanism are given.
