This is the third edition of CSA C381.2, Energy performance of battery-charging systems and uninterruptible power supplies. It supersedes the previous editions published in 2014 and 2008 under the title, Test method for determining the energy efficiency of battery-charging systems.

This Standard specifies requirements, definitions, and test methods for determining the energy performance of battery-charging systems.

The Harmonization Committee intended that this Standard would harmonize with Appendix Y to Subpart B, Part 430 of Title 10 to the United States Code of Federal Regulations, entitled “Uniform Test Method for Measuring the Energy Consumption of Battery Chargers”.
