In order to research the economic model of transmission lines,a new type of high performance fiber reinforced composite material transmission pole tower(FRP) has been presented.According to the design conditions of 110 kV steel pipe used in the national transmission project,we can get the FRP tower structure size by considering the electric insulation characteristics of FRP and weather conditions.The circular section inscribed triangular rib is selected as the optimum scheme by comparing 4 section types with different elastic modulus and using the finite element software to check its strength.Comparison of the traditional pole,the results show that this structure size of the FRP pole can be applied to the 110 kV transmission lines,which has obvious social and economic benefits.
