This report forecasts US magnesium metal demand in metric tons to 2017. Total demand is segmented in terms of primary magnesium and secondary magnesium. Total demand is also segmented by application as follows: magnesium alloys, aluminum alloys, iron and steel desulfurization, and other applications. To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in an annual series from 2002 through 2012; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2007 and 2012.
