Numerical simulation for mathematical model of the reheating furnace in medium plate plant

The thesis has a research on a reheating furnace of medium plate plant,and a physical and mathematical model for slabs heated in the 4-zone walking beam type of re-heating furnace was established.The finite volume method was used for discretization.The results prove that the model is accurate and reliable by the comparison between the result of simulation and the experiment data of black box.And also the influence of the different temperature to the furnace as well as the different thickness of the slab on the heating time by numerical simulation were studied,and obtained the empirical formula of the heating time between the temperature and the thickness.
