Hot Dip Coatings

This chapter reviews coatings applied to base material by the hot dipping process. Both after fabrication and continuous sheet production processes are described and their applications indicated. The corrosion characteristics of the different coatings (aluminum, zinc, and tin, together with their alloys) are illustrated. Relevant standards are cited and recent and future developments are indicated.
