Hydrophobic metal-polytetrafluoroethylene(Ni-PTFE and Zn-PTFE) composite electrodes were prepared and used for electrochemical oxidation-reduction of glucose.The electrochemical characterizations such as polarization curve,cyclic voltammogram and electrode stability were investigated.The effects such as glucose concentration,bath temperature and current density were discussed.The current efficiency and percent conversion of electrooxidation and electroreduction of glucose were determined.The results showed that Ni-PTFE was significant on the electrooxidation of glucose with 64% current efficiency and 95% percent conversion,the electroreduction of glucose with 31% current efficiency and 94% percent conversion,respectively.
